13.12.2021 10:15 Infineon provides secured authentication for Qi 1.3 certified wireless charger in automotive applications
Munich, Germany – 13 December, 2021 – Infineon Technologies AG (FSE: IFX / OTCQX: IFNNY) has developed a security solution for automotive wireless charging: OPTIGA™ Trust Charge automotive complies with version 1.3 of the Wireless Power Consortium (WPC) Qi standard, which requires strong cryptographic authentication for wireless charging up to 15 W. For this, the power transmitter must authenticate itself to the power receiver, such as a cell phone, with a secured storage subsystem. Based on its comprehensive automotive and security expertise, Infineon designed OPTIGA Trust Charge automotive to meet the necessary application requirements for this process supporting the development of next-generation charging solutions.
09.12.2021 10:15 Infineon's 5th Generation CAPSENSE™ technology extends market leadership with improved robustness, reliability and lower power consumption
Munich, Germany – 9 December, 2021 – Infineon Technologies AG (FSE: IFX / OTCQX: IFNNY) today launched the company’s fifth-generation CAPSENSE™ capacitive and inductive touch sensing human-machine interface (HMI) technology. The next-generation CAPSENSE solution embedded in PSoC™ microcontrollers delivers higher performance and lower power consumption for demanding user interfaces in home appliance, industrial, consumer and IoT products. The enhanced HMI enables advanced solutions like proximity sensing with improved detection range, gesture detection and directivity, along with hover detection for tomorrow’s advanced touchscreens.
08.12.2021 10:15 Infineon's 40nm security chip technology enhances Vietnam's national ID card
Munich, Germany – 8 December, 2021 – In the modern age of digitalization, establishing a citizen's identity is even more critical than ever before. Therefore, an electronic ID (eID) can serve to legalize a person's identity in the form of a legal document. In addition to simply identifying the citizen, the functionality of national eIDs can also be expanded to enable people to access government services and benefits online. This eliminates the need to stand in long lines at local government offices, which is a major advantage, especially in times of pandemics.
07.12.2021 10:30 Infineon and MCI supply sensors for air quality measurement to schools in Carinthia and Tyrol
Villach/Innsbruck, Austria – 7 December, 2021 – Five Higher Technical Schools (Höhere Technische Lehranstalten, HTLs) in Carinthia and six in Tyrol received high-precision CO2 sensors from Infineon Technologies Austria AG and MCI in Innsbruck. The teams of students will use them to build CO2 alarm lights to indicate the necessity for ventilation thus reducing the risk of infection. A total of 300 classrooms will be equipped.
