29.06.2023 12:00 STIHL honors Infineon as "Supplier of the Year 2022" in the semiconductor sector
Munich, Germany – June 29, 2023 — World chainsaw market leader STIHL honors Infineon Technologies AG as "Supplier of the Year 2022" for being a highly reliable partner in terms of quality and delivery capability, even in a challenging environment. Infineon not only supports STIHL's battery strategy as a main supplier in the semiconductor segment, but also collaborates closely with STIHL in the area of research and development. The collaboration is to generate innovations in the field of energy-efficient motor control for battery-powered tools using compound semiconductors based on gallium nitride (GaN).
28.06.2023 14:15 New automotive-qualified XENSIV™ MEMS microphone with analog interface for audio and active noise cancelation systems
Munich, Germany – 28 June, 2023 – Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) ensures a quiet vehicle interior and provides passengers with a more relaxed driving experience. Furthermore, using advanced ANC solutions instead of passive damping methods significantly reduces the vehicle weight, which benefits vehicle efficiency. For ANC systems with an analog interface, Infineon Technologies AG (FSE: IFX / OTCQX: IFNNY) is now expanding its automotive microphone portfolio with the XENSIV™ MEMS microphone IM68A130A with a flat frequency response to frequencies below 10Hz. It builds on the successful launch of Infineon’s first automotive-qualified digital MEMS microphone, the IM67D130A, and combines the company’s automotive expertise with its technical know-how in high-end MEMS microphones.
26.06.2023 14:15 Engine management and pneumatic seat systems: Infineon launches two XENSIV™ barometric air pressure sensors
Munich, Germany – 26 June, 2023 – Infineon Technologies AG (FSE: IFX / OTCQX: IFNNY) introduces two new XENSIV™ barometric air pressure (BAP) sensors: the KP464 and KP466, both targeted at automotive applications. While the KP464 is primarily designed for engine control management, the KP466 BAP sensor is intended for seat comfort functions.
26.06.2023 10:00 Infineon teams up with eleQtron to deliver three generations of trapped-ion quantum processor units
Munich, Germany – 26 June 2023 – Infineon Technologies AG (FSE: IFX / OTCQX: IFNNY) and eleQtron GmbH, a pioneer in Quantum Computing (QC) from Siegen, North Rhine Westfalia, Germany, announced today their partnership to jointly develop trapped ion Quantum Processor Units (QPUs) for scalable quantum computers. This second Infineon partnership with a key player in the ion-trap field is the first commercial activity in the German QC ecosystem. It underscores Infineon’s prominent position in offering industry-leading ion trap QPUs that are manufactured predictably, repeatably, and reliably.
21.06.2023 12:45 Edge Protect embedded security solution meets system developers and regulatory requirements for consumer and industrial IoT applications
Munich, Germany – 21 June, 2023 – Infineon Technologies AG (FSE: IFX / OTCQX: IFNNY) today announced the launch of its Edge Protect™ embedded security solution. The new software solution has four categories of security configurations for customer requirements in IoT applications based on increasing security capabilities. Edge Protect is optimized for Infineon’s PSoC™ and AIROC™ family of products. The new solution also offers preconfigured product-security categories to satisfy regulatory and industry-standard levels.
20.06.2023 11:15 Infineon’s XENSIV™ PAS CO2 meets the performance criteria of internationally recognized WELL and LEED green building standards
Munich, Germany – 20 June, 2023 – As part of the global effort for decarbonization, improving the energy efficiency of buildings is a critical part of the solution. To help address this requirement, Infineon Technologies AG (FSE: IFX / OTCQX: IFNNY) provides the XENSIV™ PAS CO2 sensor for greener buildings. Today, Infineon announces its XENSIV PAS CO2 has passed the performance requirements defined by the internationally recognized green building certifications WELL and LEED. Specifically, the sensor contributes to 5 WELL features (e.g. ventilation design, air quality monitoring and awareness), and 6 LEED credits (e.g. optimized energy performance and enhanced indoor air quality strategies). These contributions enable buildings that pursue a certification to earn a maximum of 28 points for LEED and up to six points for WELL.
