Infineon and Marelli collaborate to drive innovation in Zone Control Units with AURIX™ TC4x MCU family |

Munich, Germany – 8 November 2024 – Infineon Technologies AG (FSE: IFX / OTCQX: IFNNY) and Marelli, a leading mobility technology supplier to the automotive sector, are working together on the development of advanced E/E architecture solutions. This collaboration combines the two companies' automotive expertise, using Infineon's latest AURIX™ TC4x microcontrollers to develop innovative Zone Control Units (ZCUs). Designed for new E/E architectures, Infineon's AURIX TC4x family extends the functionality of automotive microcontroller units (MCUs) for safe and secured processing. The MCU family supports high-speed communication interfaces such as Multi-Gbit Ethernet and PCI Express, as well as new interfaces such as CAN-XL and 10BASE-T1S. This provides carmakers with outstanding performance, data throughput and flexibility when implementing next-generation E/E architectures. |

With this new three-phase gate driver IC, Infineon is responding to the growing demand for motor control ICs required for by-wire solutions. The driver IC is qualified according to AEC Q100 Grade 0 and ISO 26262 (ASIL D). This makes the device particularly suitable for brake-by-wire and steer-by-wire systems, where conventional mechanical connections will be eliminated in the future. |
