Invest in EISELE products now and benefit in Germany from significantly expanded BAFA grants
In June 2023, the German Federal Office for Economic Affairs and Export Control (BAFA) significantly expanded its grants for SMEs in the biogas sector and for farms to promote the use of IE5 motor technology.
Sigmaringen (Germany), 13 July 2023 – EISELE is a leading manufacturer of pumps and mixers for the agricultural and biogas sectors. With the newly amended BAFA rules in June 2023, Eisele can assure its customers in Germany of considerably better grant incentives and previously unattainable profitable investment conditions when they purchase Eisele equipment with IE5 motors. Among the BAFA changes, the previous subsidy rate for small businesses in the biogas sector with fewer than 50 employees has been increased from 40% to 50%.

In addition, with immediate effect, livestock-keeping farms without a biogas plant can also receive investment aid enabling them to use highly efficient cross-cutting technologies, in accordance with article 38 of the General Block Exemption Regulation (GEBR). The maximum grant amount is EUR 200,000 per construction project.

Eisele is the only manufacturer with a complete IE5 portfolio

Eisele currently sees itself as the only manufacturer in the market that can reliably supply both biogas plant and farm operators with an almost complete range of pumps and mixers based on in-house IE5 motor technology. For example, Eisele has equipped its proven AT submersible motor pump series with IE5 synchronous motors, thus offering unique savings potential in this application area too, in times of much higher energy costs.

Investing in Eisele pumps and mixers therefore pays off twice: significantly expanded government grants are available, while electricity savings of up to 45% can be achieved with IE5 motors compared to conventionally driven units.

Take advantage of wider grant opportunities now

The EU Ecodesign Directive designates the IE5 energy efficiency class as “Ultra Premium Efficiency”. IE5 motors in this class are the most efficient energy-saving motors available on the market today. They achieve an efficiency of over 96%, representing the highest savings potential currently possible. BAFA is encouraging the use of IE5 motor technology and improving the conditions for additional grants. As well as biogas plant operators, farms also now benefit from the new support measures.

Starting immediately, under module 1 of the support programme, investments by biogas enterprises with fewer than 50 employees (SMEs) in Germany will receive grants of 50% – i.e. 10% more than before. For businesses with less than 250 employees, the subsidy remains at 40%, as previously. For all electricity-generating undertakings, aid is granted under the so-called de minimis rule for the “eligible investment costs”.

Farms receive funding too

All farms that do not operate a biogas plant can in future receive investment aid in accordance with article 38 GEBR. The same subsidy rates apply here as under the existing de minimis rule, however in this case the “extra investment costs” are subsidised, i.e. two offers are required in order to determine the added value of an IE5 device.

For example, an Eisele standard submersible mixer (e.g. the GTWS 204) can easily be compared with an energy-efficient model such as the GTWSB 206-E. The additional costs incurred with the more energy-efficient unit are then subsidised at a rate of 50%. The grant application procedure is simple and can be handled by Eisele or the sales partners if desired. In general, neither an energy advisor nor an energy saving concept are required when applying for module 1. The only requirement for receiving a grant under module 1 is an IE5 manufacturer’s certificate from Eisele.

Eisele set for growth: representatives and sales partners wanted

In the course of further expansion, Eisele is currently seeking sales partners for robust, durable mixers and pumps in several German states. A partnership with Eisele is of interest to firms specialising in biogas and plant construction as well as slurry technology, but also to those providing animal housing systems, agricultural technology and farm machinery. Interested parties can contact Eisele directly. The contact person is Markus Blender, who can be reached by email at markus.blender@eisele.de or phone +49 1520 8741638.
