EISELE at EuroTier/ENERGY DECENTRAL from 15.-18.11.2022 in Hannover (Germany): Hall 27, Booth D30
EISELE is set to equip the majority of its pumps in its product range with new IE5 electric motors
By fitting them with IE5 motors, EISELE is optimising their submersible, vertical and close-coupled pumps in the power range from 11 kW to 30 kW regarding energy efficiency and durability
Sigmaringen, 27 November 2022 – EISELE, a leading manufacturer of pumps and agitators for the agricultural and biogas sectors, has already been selling submersible mixers with IE5 electric drives extremely successfully for more than two years. As a logical next step, Eisele is now extending this successful technology to its pump range. With immediate effect, five new electric motors in energy efficiency class IE5 Ultra Premium Efficiency are available for driving submersible, vertical and close-coupled pumps with outputs from 11 kW to 30 kW. With these drives, Eisele is one of the first manufacturers on the market to offer a wide range of pumps with IE5 drives that are not only eligible for grants, but also demonstrably cut energy costs and protect the environment.

IE4 electric drives alone no longer suffice today

For biogas production and in farming, the Eisele pumps are among the most effective devices in the world. However, since 1 October 2022, new, stricter funding guidelines from the Federal Office of Economics and Export Control (BAFA) and stricter minimum requirements for electric drives apply. The new requirements can no longer be met with the IE4 energy efficiency class motors that have been successfully used to date. This is why Eisele reacted to the new situation at an early stage. With the new IE5 motors manufactured in-house, Eisele fully complies with the new minimum requirements of BAFA. Eisele’s submersible, vertical and close-coupled pumps equipped with the new IE5 motors operate are more energy efficient and minimise the need for maintenance due to longer service lives. Plus they reduce the carbon footprint of a biogas plant or farm, to make a clear statement in support of sustainability and the green economy.

Energy efficient in every performance class

The trend in agriculture is clearly moving more and more towards more energy-efficient equipment, because in times of sharply rising energy costs, saving electricity when operating pumps and mixers is particularly important. With the newly developed drives according to energy efficiency class IE5, Eisele offers its customers maximum savings potential with the well-known high premium quality.

Pumps in various performance classes are now equipped with this technology. The matching preset frequency converters cover power ratings of 11 kW, 15 kW, 18.5 kW, 22 kW and 30 kW. The pumps are designed for flow rates of up to 7,200 litres/min with a pumping head of up to 28 metres, and for substrate temperatures up to 65°C.

Depending on the application, the new motors achieve savings of up to 40%. The operating point is flexibly variable and can be optimally adjusted with the frequency converter, allowing stepless speed control. As a result, the pumps are suitable for various applications and substrates, where they achieve a longer service life than before.

High return on investment – not only for high flow rates

Because the new drives meet energy efficiency class IE5, users in Germany can benefit from government grants from the Federal Office for Economic Affairs and Export Control (BAFA) when they invest in Eisele vertical and close-coupled pumps. Grants for 40% of the total investment sum are available for the pumps under BAFA module 1, “Cross-sectional technologies”. The grant is available to electricity-generating businesses, for example biogas plant operators. Agricultural businesses, on the other hand, benefit from the large electricity savings potential even without state subsidies. The new pumps pay for themselves after a short time – especially when large quantities of substrate have to be pumped.
