ROHM’s New 1200V IGBTs Achieve Industry-Leading* Low Loss Characteristics with High Short-Circuit Tolerance |

Willich-Münchheide, Germany, November 07, 2024 – ROHM has developed automotive-grade AEC-Q101 qualified 4th Generation 1200V IGBTs that combine class-leading* low loss characteristics with high short-circuit resistance. This makes the devices ideal for vehicle electric compressors and HV heaters as well as industrial inverters. The current lineup includes four models - RGA80TRX2HR / RGA80TRX2EHR / RGA80TSX2HR / RGA80TSX2EHR – in two discrete package types (TO-247-4L and TO-247N), along with 11 bare chip variants - SG84xxWN - with plans to further expand the lineup in the future. |

Willich-Münchheide, Germany, October 08, 2024 – ROHM has developed external FET-type controller ICs utilizing PWM current control mode optimized for AC-DC power supply in various industrial applications. Mass production has begun for four variants designed to drive a wide range of power semiconductors: the BD28C55FJ-LB for low-voltage MOSFETs, BD28C54FJ-LB for medium- to high-voltage MOSFETs, BD28C57LFJ-LB for IGBTs, and BD28C57HFJ-LB for SiC MOSFETs. |

ROHM has announced the adoption of power modules equipped with 4th generation SiC MOSFET bare chips for the traction inverters in three models of ZEEKR EV brand from Zhejiang Geely Holding Group (Geely), a top 10 global automaker. Since 2023, these power modules have been mass produced and shipped from HAIMOSIC (SHANGHAI) Co., Ltd. - a joint venture between ROHM and Zhenghai Group Co., Ltd. to Viridi E-Mobility Technology (Ningbo) Co., Ltd, a Tier 1 manufacturer under Geely. |
