The SOVD toolchain is available now and is designed to support a fast and straightforward adoption of SOVD technology. Service-Oriented Vehicle Diagnostics (SOVD) provides a unified API for diagnostics in both software-based and traditional mechatronic vehicles. To support the development of diagnostic systems for modern vehicles, Vector combines established and newly developed tools into a comprehensive SOVD toolchain. As a complete solution, it covers all stages of development – from specification and validation to the implementation and use of SOVD in the vehicle – and can be flexibly adapted to different project requirements. In the first step, SOVD concepts can be tested on existing UDS-based vehicles without requiring any modifications to the vehicle. In the second step, the technology is tested directly within the vehicle network to evaluate performance and resource consumption.
