| CANape Kernel: New Measurement Core for Powerful Data Acquisition |
| Stuttgart, GERMANY, 2026-01-15 – Vector introduces CANape Kernel, a compact measurement core for x64- and ARM64-based platforms running Windows or Linux. The software enables high-performance data logging with fast start-up times and a REST API connection, ideal for automated logging applications. Users can utilize existing hardware or select platforms that suit their requirements. Depending on the application, Vector provides customized, worldwide support. Whether high-end industrial PCs or single-board computers: CANape Kernel runs on any hardware with x64 or ARM64 architecture. Specially developed for high-performance data logging, the software is compatible with both Windows and Linux, offering flexible application options, such as the acquisition of automotive networks, ADAS sensors and SDV-typical or manufacturer-specific protocols. Compact software with a solid foundation The measurement core is based on CANape, the established Vector tool for measurement and calibration. The measurement configuration is set up once in CANape and then transferred to the target platform. CANape Kernel initializes the devices and starts data acquisition. Comprehensive protocol and sensor support enables the integration of XCP as well as CAN, CAN FD, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet, and various ADAS sensors such as RADAR, LIDAR, and video. As a lean console application with an integrated web server, the software is characterized by fast start-up times and minimal resource requirements. Versatile integration options CANape Kernel can be used on existing hardware as well as on individual platform solutions. Control is via REST API. Alternatively, the CANape Mobile UI is available as part of the application. It offers an intuitive interface for control and visualization as well as additional functions such as triggering, inserting comments, and video preview. Vector provides comprehensive support worldwide for the implementation of individual logging use cases and hardware. More information at: www.vector.com/canape-kernel/ |
