| vInspect – Flexible Platform Concept for Diagnostic Tools |
| Stuttgart, December 18, 2025 – Vector Informatik is launching vInspect, a new and highly customizable diagnostic tool for vehicle components. The solution combines rapid availability with flexible customization options, helping manufacturers and service organizations reduce their cost of ownership. vInspect bridges the gap between standard solutions and costly custom developments, breaking new ground in vehicle diagnostics and software updates. With vInspect, companies gain access to a tool for diagnostics and software updates that is tailored precisely to their needs – without the high costs of in-house development. This is made possible by a platform concept designed for easy customization. The software uses modern web technologies and can be completely customized to the company's corporate design: colors, logos, and layouts can be individually adapted. This ensures the tool visually matches the company's brand identity. The solution targets manufacturers and service organizations of vehicle components such as drive components, batteries, lighting systems, heaters, cooling systems, and pumps. Existing communication hardware (VCIs) based on D-PDU API (ISO 22900-2) or Pass-Thru (SAE J2534) can be reused without issue, significantly reducing investment costs. The vInspect user interface can be freely customized using dashboards and widgets. The configuration is automatically distributed via the cloud – ideal for service organizations with many users. Thanks to automatic configuration detection, vInspect quickly adapts the settings to the detected vehicle component, offering convenient, intuitive, and secure use – both online and offline. Additionally, a flexible rights management ensures that access rights and roles are controlled based on competence – tailored to the tasks of the technicians in service.
