| Vector and OPTENDA Collaborate for Cost-Efficient Energy Management |
| Stuttgart, GERMANY, 2025-08-12 – Vector combines its vCharM charging and load management system with OPTENDA’s Energy Monitor to prevent load peaks and enable detailed energy analyses of the charging infrastructure. The solution is in use at Vector sites in Stuttgart, Karlsruhe, and Regensburg and is now available also to other companies. This collaboration allows charging infrastructure to be analyzed without additional measuring equipment, helping companies reduce their electricity costs. vCharM provides the Energy Monitor with meter readings from the charging points at 15-minute intervals. This means that – in addition to general energy, building, and operational data – energy data from charging stations can now also be evaluated in detail within the Energy Monitor, without requiring extra measurement technology. The data collected at Vector sites is used to assess the impact of charging infrastructure on overall energy consumption and to derive initial measures for reducing load peaks. This increases operational transparency and ensures compliance with the international energy management standard DIN EN ISO 50001. Typically, identifying potential energy savings requires additional measuring devices, which come with installation and maintenance costs. By using the metering data already recorded in vCharM, these costs are eliminated. Companies can now analyze their charging infrastructure alongside conventional energy consumers in the Energy Monitor, unlocking new savings potential. Combined with vCharM functions such as peak shaving and cost-optimized charging, this approach enables reductions in grid fees and overall energy costs. The collaboration between Vector and OPTENDA offers a proven model for operators of charging infrastructure in logistics, employee parking, facility management, municipalities, and energy supply. Vector serves as a reference example, demonstrating how companies can optimize electricity costs for charging electric vehicles without investing in additional hardware. About OPTENDA OPTENDA is a Stuttgart-based software company specializing in energy monitoring. With its Energy Monitor energy management system, OPTENDA helps companies gain transparency over their energy consumption, identify savings opportunities, and meet regulatory requirements such as DIN EN ISO 50001.
