| Test System for Megawatt Charging: Vector Enables HIL Tests With up to 3.84 MW of Charging Power |
| Stuttgart, Germany, 2025-11-12 – Vector has introduced the new hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) test system vCTS.performance. This powerful, scalable test system was developed in collaboration with EA Elektro-Automatik for testing the charging communication between electric vehicles (EV) and supply equipment (EVSE). It meets the demanding power requirements of the Megawatt Charging System (MCS), while also supporting all major charging standards. The system is now available.Reliable Interoperability for High-Power Charging Processes The vCTS.performance is a comprehensive HIL test system to ensure conformity and interoperability in charging communication between EVs and EVSEs. With scalable DC charging power of up to 3.84 MW, the system supports realistic load and endurance testing under real-world conditions. This ensures that both EVs and EVSEs meet the charging communication standards and function reliably. Megawatt Charging: The Key to the Electrification of Commercial Vehicles The electrification of commercial vehicles is a key step towards a sustainable future. The Megawatt Charging System (MCS) plays a central role in this transition by significantly reducing charging times and maximizing the efficiency and availability of commercial vehicles. The vCTS.performance from Vector is specifically designed to meet these demanding power requirements. About the vCTS.performance
Integration into Vector’s Existing Product Portfolio The vCTS.performance expands Vector’s existing product portfolio, which already includes a wide range of solutions for electromobility. Among them is the vCTS – a configurable test system with 30 kW DC power output, which was specifically developed for testing charging communication. Its flexible cassette system technology allows quick adaptation to different charging standards. In addition to MCS, the vCTS supports all major charging standards and offers a compact, mobile solution for communication testing. More information at: www.vector.com/vcts-performance |
