ERNI Electronics Expands Established ERBic Series with new CANbus Version |
Adelberg, March 24, 2010 - ERNI Electronics continuously expands its well established ERbic field bus connectors for the Profibus, CANbus and SafetyBus standards. The new ERbic CANbus connectors benefit from the latest ERNI Type 8 D-Sub connector generation offering high precision, stability and contact reliability. In addition housing dimensions have been reduced to a compact design with a reduced form factor. All enclosed parts are preassembled with only one mounting screw. The new connectors are very flexible due to a spring clamp terminal and an exchangeable cable strain relief for cable diameters from 6mm - 9mm (8mm premounted, 7 mm enclosed). The Erbic CANbus connectors offer a connectable termination resistor, which can be activated externally, and an optional diagnostic-interface. An extra metallic stamped shield connection provides an optimal shield contact. The bus connectors can be imprinted using the standard ID plate. The new Erbic CANBus devices need only a standard screwdriver for assembly/disassembly and provide a perfect visibility of switch status due to the red colour of the actuation lever. There is a large area for custom labeling, while neutral versions and variants with custom company logo can be supplied. The new CANbus connectors are designed for data rates up to 1Mbit/s in applications according to the CANbus specification. The complete in-house production ensures the proven ERNI quality across the total process chain from design, construction, assembly, soldering to inspection. The CANbus connectors with protection class IP 20 are specified to operate in the temperature range from -20 °C to +70 °C. Further information is available at www.erni.com |
