TE Connectivity introduces the high-performance SCHRACK RSY relay for industrial applications

GALWAY, Ireland – August 20, 2026 – TE Connectivity, a world leader in connectors and sensors, introduces its latest PCB relay up to 10A, the SCHRACK RSY relay, designed to support high inrush loads and switching capacities up to 10 A at 277 VAC in a compact form factor. The series also contributes to sustainable engineering goals through an enhanced carbon footprint supported by its noteworthy design. The SCHRACK RSY relay is a reliable and high performing switching solution for the global factory and building automation, HVAC as well as for motion and drive markets. High contact reliability and extended electrical lifetime under harsh conditions help reduce downtime and lower total cost of ownership for customers. “The RSY series brings together performance, reliability and sustainability in a compact design, helping customers meet both technical and environmental requirements,” said Manavika Goel, global product manager at TE Connectivity. The latest relay introduction will start with an NO (Normally Open; Form A) contact type; the offering will soon expand to include other variants like a CO (Change Over; Form C) contact type and through-hole-reflow soldering versions. Drop-in replacement with improved sustainability The SCHRACK RSY series is a compatible successor of TE’s SCHRACK MSR relay, which has been in the market for over 35 years. It helps enable easy replacement without PCB redesign or changes to the assembly processes. Compared to its predecessor, CO2 emissions are reduced by over 15%. TE achieves this through the smart combination of cutting-edge materials, strongly improved components and fully automated production. Decarbonization and reduced resource consumption improve the environmental performance and help customers meet their sustainability goals. Reliable performance in demanding environments TE has evolved its time-tested SCHRACK MSR relay series into the SCHRACK RSY series with an outstanding new platform design that delivers higher vibration robustness, increased electrical load performance at elevated temperatures up to 105°C and a much longer electrical lifetime. The improved contact system helps allow the usage in low signal load applications under inrush cycles. The SCHRACK RSY relay has a minimum recommended contact load of 5V and 1mA over 1 million cycles and gives customers the opportunity to work with lower loads as well as higher contact reliability. A more sensitive monostable magnetic coil system reduces heat generation. “The SCHRACK RSY relay series is engineered for consistent performance in demanding conditions, giving customers confidence in long-term reliability and system uptime,” said Christian Netsch, global product manager at TE Connectivity. The SCHRACK RSY relay is compliant for use in potentially hazardous environments, such as in HVAC units, where eco-friendly A2L and A3 refrigerant gases have become standard and mandatory due to latest environmental regulations.
