PROVERTHA Offers a Comprehensive Range of D-Sub Hoods and Accessories
In addition to its extensive portfolio, products sold primarily to date under the brand label will increasingly be marketed directly by PROVERTHA in future
Pforzheim – 11 October 2018 – PROVERTHA offers a wide range of hoods for the popular D-Sub connectors. In addition to high-quality full-metal hoods, the range also includes versatile plastic and metallised plastic hoods. Some of the full-metal and metallised plastic hood series, which to date have been supplied primarily by brand label partners, will be marketed more directly by PROVERTHA in future.

Whether two-piece hoods with a straight cable outlet, grommets with a side cable outlet, hood systems or adapter housings – PROVERTHA plastic hoods are available in numerous variants, tailor-made for a wide range of applications. There are pure plastic variants and metallised plastic hoods, based on the high-quality UL 94 V-O flame-retardant ABS plastic. The plastic versions – whether metallised or not – offer various cable outputs and locking systems, such as e.g. screw, slide or clip latches or the innovative Quick Lock system for flexible design options.

PROVERTHA full-metal hoods are particularly easy to mount thanks to their user-friendly, compact design. Easy-to-operate locking systems, such as screw locks with knurled screws or the Quick Lock system, ensure safe and quick installation. The full-metal hoods offer optimum HF density and high EMC and are extremely mechanically strong in conjunction with crimp flanges – also in particularly harsh environments. This makes them ideally suited for applications in railway technology and traffic engineering. Repeated opening of the full-metal hoods is not a problem at all and does not impair the high-quality product characteristics, such as the HF density.

Fully metallised cable sleeves as accessories for the D-Sub hoods from PROVERTHA are also particularly easy to mount thanks to tapped threads, besides being extremely mechanically strong and easy to grip.
