Inclusion in our media database

Inclusion in our media database and the associated service provided by the agency Mexperts (Agency) are aimed exclusively at journalists. If you are not a journalist, or if you cannot prove this on request (by presenting a media ID card, etc.), then unfortunately you cannot be included in the database. Exceptions may be made in consultation with the Agency: please send an e-mail to media.database@mexperts.de.

What sort of content can I expect?

As an agency, we send out press releases and invitations to press events (for example, press conferences, press meetings or trade fairs) on behalf of our clients.

What sort of influence do I have over the content I receive?

When you are added to our media database, you decide which companies or topics you would like to receive information on. You can change this selection (distribution list) at any time by following a link which will be attached to all e-mails that are sent out via our media database.

Based on your selection and the information on your publication (for example: target group or topics), you will be included in the distribution lists of our clients and for new topics that suit your preferences.

How often will I receive messages?

Since the frequency of the messages you receive is directly associated with your personal selection of distribution lists, the Agency cannot provide you with a specific answer to this question. In purely statistical terms, a total of 310 press releases were sent out via our database in 2017. This total, however, refers to all distribution lists and all topics. This means that the frequency varies depending on current events and developments and, in particular, depending on your personal distribution list selection.

What happens with my personal data?

Your personal data will be processed in the Agency's own media database. The Agency will use your personal data to provide PR services for its clients. Your personal data provided by you will only be passed on to clients of the agency if this is necessary for the provision and documentation of the corresponding PR service (e.g. registration for a press conference and other events or for internal comparison of press distribution lists). Double opt-in and opt-out and other rights and information

If you use our subscribe form to register for our media database using your e-mail address, you will receive what is known as a “double opt-in e-mail”. This e-mail will ask you to confirm your registration and provide further information on the following page. This is necessary in order to prevent anyone from registering with your e-mail address without your consent. To serve as evidence of the registration process, the process will be logged by saving the time of registration and confirmation, as well as the IP address. You can unsubscribe at any time by following a link which will be attached to all e-mails that you receive via our media database (“opt-out”). This means that you are free to revoke your consent with future effect at any time.
