IAR fully supports the latest TRAVEO T2G CYT6BJ Body MCU series from Infineon
With IAR Embedded Workbench for Arm, developers can take advantage of maximized performance, ensured code quality and functional safety when working with the recently introduced Infineon TRAVEO™ T2G Body MCU family
Uppsala, Sweden; June 20, 2023 – IAR, the world leader in software and services for embedded development, is pleased to announce its full support for the latest CYT6BJ series from Infineon’s TRAVEO™ T2G Body MCU family. The IAR Embedded Workbench for Arm is a comprehensive development toolchain and comes with a highly optimizing compiler and build tools as well as powerful debugging features with the code analysis tools C-STAT and C-RUN. This enables developers working on complex automotive body electronics applications to leverage the capabilities of the TRAVEO™ T2G MCUs, and create innovative designs with high code quality. The IAR Embedded Workbench for Arm supports AUTOSAR and is available as a Functional Safety edition for accelerated certification.

The 32-bit TRAVEO™ T2G Arm Cortex stands out for its energy efficiency and wide scalability in automotive body electronics applications. The family offers high performance, supports the latest in-car networks, and embeds dedicated features to increase data security in the car while it’s optimized for a minimum memory footprint. Since its introduction in 2021, the MCU family has become the leading solution for numerous automotive applications like communication gateways, body control modules, and climate control systems. The CYT6BJ series is the latest addition to the family and extends the line-up to 16MB of embedded Flash memory with quad-core Arm Cortex-M7. The MCU fulfills the requirements of the ISO26262 standard up to ASIL B. With its robust performance, the high-end CYT6BJ series is especially suited for demanding body electronics applications, extending the TRAVEO™ T2G Body MCU family to cover mid to low-end Zone Controllers for new E/E architectures.

“Infineon’s TRAVEO™ T2G microcontrollers offer a compact solution defined to meet the needs of modern automotive body electronic systems which can be fully exploited with the right tools like the IAR Embedded Workbench for Arm”, said Clara Volkmar, Director of Product Marketing, Body and Driver Information at Infineon’s Automotive Division. “Thanks to strong tool partners like IAR, developers can quickly realize their demanding automotive projects, even with our newest devices like the CYT6BJ series.”

By supporting all available TRAVEO™ T2G devices, including CYT6BJ, the IAR Embedded Workbench for Arm ensures compatibility and provides developers with highly optimizing building tools and advanced debugging capabilities. Features such as complex code and data breakpoints, runtime stack analysis, call stack visualization, code coverage analysis, and integrated monitoring of power consumption contribute to a seamless development experience. With the code analysis tools C-STAT and C-RUN, developers are able to get complete code quality control. For companies with requirements on functional safety, IAR Embedded Workbench for Arm is available in an edition certified by TÜV SÜD. The Fusa version is certified according to the requirements of ISO 26262. The toolchain is also certified for IEC 61508, IEC 62304, EN 50128, EN 50657, IEC 60730, ISO 13849, IEC 62061, IEC 61511 and ISO 25119. For companies working with Continuous Integration (CI) workflows and automated build and test processes, the IAR Build Tools are also available in a version supporting Linux-based frameworks. In addition, IAR’s renowned technical support, training, and flexible licensing enable all customers to find a solution tailored to their specific needs.

“As automotive embedded systems continue to grow in complexity, powerful development tools are crucial to fully exploit capabilities and provide flexible solutions for helping both small companies and major corporations to succeed,” said Anders Holmberg, CTO at IAR. “With its extensive capabilities, proven track record, and commitment to safety and security, IAR Embedded Workbench for Arm ensures that companies selecting TRAVEO™ T2G in their designs can shorten the time to market deliver superior products.”
