Change of course: New Director of Operations Ulrich Hintermeier strengthens the Pfaff-silberblau brand

Kissing (Germany), May 3, 2018 - Since January 2018, Ulrich Hintermeier has been at the helm of Kissing-based Columbus McKinnon Engineered Products as the new Director of Operations. Under his stewardship, the Pfaff-silberblau brand - once the name of the long-established company itself - is again to come to the fore. Columbus McKinnon Engineered Products is one of three business units within the listed US-American Columbus McKinnon Corporation (CMCO), a leading supplier of lifting and material handling equipment. Manager with many years of experience Ulrich Hintermeier, born in 1962, has been with the company since 1989. After completing his training and studies in mechanical engineering, he worked there as a graduate engineer in the field of motion technology, first as project manager and from 2005 as authorised signatory and technical director. Under his direction, the Technical Department for Motion Technology has been reorganised, a product development strategy introduced and the implementation of the modular structure pushed through coupled with the standardisation of all the variants. Since merging the business areas "Lifting and Material Handling Technology" and "Motion Technology" in April 2007, Ulrich Hintermeier has been responsible for the technology and development management with the R&D, Project Planning and Design departments as well as Product Management across all divisions. Ulrich Hintermeier was responsible for the reorganisation, the introduction of a continuous development and research process and a product life cycle management system (PLCM). Under his leadership, numerous outstanding projects have been realised. His responsibility was extended in 2009, when he became head of Technology and Sales. Exploit level of awareness and further strengthen brand In his role as the new Director of Operations, Ulrich Hintermeier will strengthen Pfaff-silberblau as a brand and consistently develop the corresponding business area.
