ALPS Appoints Paul Garratt Marketing Manager Europe
Düsseldorf, February 08, 2007 – As of January 17, 2007, ALPS ELECTRIC EUROPA GmbH appointed Paul Garratt (41) new marketing manager Europe for ALPS Electric Europa GmbH, based at the European headquarters in Düsseldorf. Mr. Garratt succeeds Ulrich Kuhs, who now will be taking care of the development and constitution of new strategic business segments within the company.

For almost two decades Paul Garratt has been working for ALPS in different sales and management positions, most recently as sales manager for the non-automotive component in England and Ireland. He not only has long-standing experience in direct and indirect sales, but is also well experienced in channel and direct marketing. In his new position he will be responsible for the further strategic development of internal communications systems and the successful implementation of the company’s marketing strategy in the fast growing European market.

"Conveying the company’s goals to our employees and to the public as well as further developing marketing measures is of utmost importance to achieve sustained overall success for the company,” said Ulrich Kuhs. “With Paul Garratt we have gained an experienced and recognized marketing pro, which will support us in this vital task. Paul Garratt studied mathematics, statistics and economics at the University of Warwick, England. He is married with four children and loves to play golf.
