IAR Systems® launches extended technology platform with new product portfolio
embedded world, Nuremberg, Germany—February 28, 2012—Today, IAR Systems® launches an extended technology platform as an outcome of the strategic acquisition of Signum Systems Corporation in September of 2011.

An immediate deliverable of the extended technology is a product portfolio of in-circuit debugging probes, targeted for simplified, seamless and more flexible development workflows.

All products within the new portfolio complement and add to each other’s technical functionality, covering different needs from initial to more advanced development. The new line of products is developed in-house by IAR Systems, ensuring complete and tight integration with the award-winning development tool suite IAR Embedded Workbench®. All products are also delivered with access to IAR Systems’ excellent global support and product maintenance.

Today, IAR Systems introduces the new product I-jet™, which is the first of the new range of in-circuit debugging probes to be made available. Being fully plug-and-play and totally integrated into IAR Embedded Workbench, I-jet delivers ease-of-use for fast and reliable development on ARM® and ARM® Cortex™ platforms of different complexity.

“We are very happy and proud to announce this extension of our product offering, which addresses a current customer need, and also brings future potential,” says Stefan Skarin, CEO of IAR Systems. “With this extended technology platform, we are actually redrawing the map for debugging. What we will offer is something completely new, in line with our focus on serving our existing and new customers with high-quality tools and global services throughout the entire development cycle. We are determined to make the company grow into a broader embedded systems tools vendor, by supplying advanced and innovative technology for simplified, seamless and flexible development.”
