MUNICH, Germany – December 20, 2021 – Analog Devices, Inc. (ADI) today introduced a highly efficient multi-phase synchronous boost controller that regulates high-power Class-D amplifiers in automotive infotainment systems. The MAX25203 features both programmable gate drive voltage and current limit blanking time, as well as accurate current balancing, and operates at a high switching frequency to reduce the bill of materials cost and shrink PCB space by 36 percent. The MAX25203 joins ADI’s family of automotive boost controllers that include the MAX25201 and MAX25202 single/dual boost controllers, both designed for lower power applications.

MUNICH, Germany – December 1, 2021 – Designers can now extend battery life and reduce size in space-constrained internet of things (IoT) devices with two nanoPower modules with built-in inductors from Analog Devices, Inc. Both products are part of Analog Devices’ Essential Analog family of efficient power ICs. The MAXM38643 1.8V to 5.5V input, 330nA quiescent current (IQ), 600mA buck module and the MAXM17225 0.4V to 5.5V input, 300nA IQ, 1A boost module with True Shutdown™ feature the lowest IQ compared to competitive solutions and deliver more battery life. By integrating a preselected inductor, these micro system-level IC modules (uSLIC™) also accelerate time to market and are up to 37 percent smaller size compared to a standalone IC plus external inductor. Applications include space-constrained consumer products, wearables, medical drug delivery, sensors, IoT devices, as well as wired, wireless and industrial products.

MUNICH, Germany – November 15, 2021 – Analog Devices, Inc. (ADI) today announced the MAX17330 battery management integrated circuit (IC) with integrated fuel gauge and advanced battery protection for one-cell lithium-ion/polymer batteries that delivers longer battery runtime for consumer applications than similar products. The new IC expands ADI’s battery management portfolio, which already delivers accuracy for the automotive and industrial markets that is among the highest in the industry. Compared with similar products, the MAX17330 significantly extends run-time and monitors internal cell self-discharge hazards, while also shrinking solution size of single cell battery-powered products. ADI’s proprietary AccuCharge™ and ModelGauge™ technologies deliver high top-off charge and deep safe discharge, enabling longer run-time of medical and fitness wearables, home and building automation sensors, handheld computers and terminals. The MAX17330 also simplifies battery management for devices using parallel cells, such as foldable smartphones and tablets, as well as AR/VR smartglasses.

MUNICH, Germany – September 21, 2021 – The new MAX77659 single-inductor multiple output (SIMO) power management IC (PMIC) with integrated switch-mode buck-boost charger from Analog Devices, Inc. charges wearables, hearables and Internet of Things (IoT) devices faster and in less space than any other PMIC available today. The MAX77659 SIMO PMIC delivers over four hours of play time after a short, ten-minute charge, and uses a single inductor to power multiple rails, reducing the bill of materials (BOM) by 60 percent and shrinking total solution size by 50 percent.

MUNICH, Germany – September 20, 2021 – Simplify the design of wearable remote patient monitoring (RPM) devices by measuring four vital signs with one MAX86178 triple-system vital signs analog front end (AFE) from Analog Devices, Inc. This single-chip AFE integrates three measurement systems (optical, ECG and bio-impedance) to obtain four common vital signs: electrocardiogram (ECG or EKG), heart rate (ECG or optical PPG), blood-oxygen saturation (SpO₂) and respiration rate (using BioZ). The MAX86178 enables synchronized optical PPG and ECG timing for derived health metrics.
