ERNI Electronics Offers Flexible and Configurable Power Modules for CAV applications |
Ideal solutions for compact and reliable power distribution systems |
Adelberg September 24, 2014 ERNI Electronics expands its BLUEcontact product family offering the new Cube drive control modules. The Cube modules provide in their full configuration high power circuits controlled by CAN Network in a rough environment. The Cube units are ideal for power distribution systems that require the ability to control relays and monitor fuses and relays. The compact units (195 mm x 195 mm, with 78 mm height) are a cost effective replacement for complex, fully electronic power distribution modules. The Cube modules may be configured to provide various OEM circuit protection and switching functions, using industry standard fuses, relays and circuit breakers, with the status and control of each circuit accessible through J1939 or CANopen messages. Based on proven pressfit technology they are well suited for the most demanding vehicle applications (Commercial, Agriculture and Construction Vehicles, CAV) . Manufactured as a hardened and weather tight system the Cube products are rated up to 300 Amps. The power modules support an operational voltage of 9 V to 32 V. The Cube products are ideal for applications across numerous markets, including heavy truck, construction, agriculture, military, transit bus/coach, marine, recreational vehicle, and specialty vehicle applications. Each Cube integrates: 2 main inputs rated up to 150 A each 12 pre-fused relays outputs rated up to 25 A 7 fused outputs rated up to 25 A 2 pre-fused relays output rated up to 70 A 4 high-side outputs up to 3 A per output 3 low-side outputs up to 250 mA per output switching of Plus or Ground (GND) or both together, depending from the input The Cube modules are designed and manufactured with robust features such as a heavy-duty housing and specified for the temperature range of -40°C to +85°C (-40°C to +125°C on request). Depending on customer requirements the Cube units can be configured with up to 21 power outputs, CAN and LIN support and up to IP69 protection (standard IP20). ERNI Electronics offers the Cube modules in three different standard configurations (Basic, Experts and Experts Plus). Each can be adjusted into custom versions being configured to OEM wiring requirements. As part of its automotive product portfolio ERNI Electronics presents the new Cube power modules at IAA Nutzfahrzeuge 2014 (September 25 to October 2nd, 2014 in Hannover ,Hall 11, Booth G14). |
